Winning At The Slot Machines – Online Slots Strategy

I have been playing slots online and in real casinos for years. I have hit jackpots, triple sevens, double triple sevens, triple triple sevens and so on, paying me thousands of dollars for a twenty five cent bet. In fact, I hit some sort of jackpot just about everytime I play (Of course being a gambling feind, I often spend a good portion of my winnings within the casino trying to find more jackpots… but thats a story for another time).

If you beleive that winning at slots is only about luck, then by all means, find your lucky slot machine and stick with it until you win…. or not. But if you are looking for a slot machine stategy, something to give you an advantage over the slot machines, whether online or at a real casino… you may want to read this article.

It is a fact that certain slot machines will be paying out. Though they probably will be paying out at different times… every machine will eventually payout. The trick is to know which machines are paying out when.

Just because the machine you just started playing pays you out within the first few spins does not mean that machine is nessessarily hot and just because a particular machine has not hit a payout within the first few spins does not mean that a significant and consistant payout streak is not coming.

In other words, if slot machines are programed to payout a certain amount (which they are) than technicaly speaking, you have an advantage. The advantage is that you know that every slot machine on the floor will payout a significant amount sooner or later.

In a real casino, you could just hang around any given slot machine, watch the payouts as people come and go playing that particular machine, wait until you think it’s due for a large payout and then jump on it. However, this technique has several flaws… for one, it’s just poor etiqute to hover over someones shoulder as they play a slot machine. Actually, that really pisses me off if someone (especially a stranger) is lurcking behind my back where I can’t see them. I’ll usually get up and leave if they persist. Another thing is that you may have to wait quite a while as many slot players are loyal to their machines and might not abbandon the game for hours. Add in the factor that a regulated slot machine, though will payout sooner or later must follow a random algorithem. So it may not payout even after hours of continous play. And last but not least… This “stand-By” technique only works in a real casino where you can physically watch someone play. You cannot do this at an online casino.

However, Microgaming online slot machines feature a “Jackpot Thermometer” which acts as a temperature Gauge showing which slots are “HOT” and which ones are not according to when the jackpot was last hit. If it was hit over a few days or so it is probably very hot right now and ready to be hit, if it was hit 5 minutes ago, then the temperature is low. Microgaqming uses a temperature range from 80 to 999 for each slot machine. The reading indicates the last time a jackpot was won.

The higher the reading, the longer it has been since the last jackpot was hit. Microgaming emphasizes that this gauge does not indicate that a jackpot has a greater or lessor chance of hitting as the machine pays out randomly. I do find this helpful to my technique but it is just just like hanging around a machine in a real casino waiting to see how it pays out.

With all that said… I find more slot machines that consistantly pay me out more than I put into the machine using the following technique:First of all, it is helpful to have a financial goal when first entering a casino… How much do you want to win???

With that said, Pick a machine and depending on the size of your bankroll, decide how much you are willing to lose in this session. I usually go by a percentage of my bankroll. If my bankroll is $100.00 I will usually risk about 10% or $10.00 on a penny or nickel slot machine. maybe up to $25.00 on a quarter slot machine.

If you are breaking just about even within fifteen or twenty minutes… great. This machine may be ready to payout big. Just keep playing until you have doubled, tripled or have hit the jackpot… you may even want to increase the bet at this point. If after a while your $10.00 is now at let say $50.00, what I do usually do is set a new cap on how much of that $50.00 I am willing to lose. Let’s go ahead and say we will walk away if it goes below $25.00. Again, if you hit another generous payout and now you got a thundered bucks… walk away with no less than $50.00. At this point, you have five times the amount you put into the machine and if you are not consistently winning and you are now progressively are losing, you should walk away anyway. If at any time you have lost the original amount you agreed to spend on this machine, it’s time to move on… no matter what. There are other machines waiting for a payout somewhere in the casino.

Just remember that it’s all up to you when to cash out… you want to walk away a winner.

Today, my goal is to turn my $100.00 into $500.00… But I will not lose all my original $100.00 as I do want to make a point during this experiment. The point being that there is more to playing at slots than just luck… there are strategies you can use to increase the chances of you winning at slots.

At about 9:00 AM I put $100.00 into my online account this morning and have been playing and writing for about three hours now. About an hour ago when my bankroll was down to $50.00, I started playing “Pure Platinum” slot machine by Microgaming. Within ten minutes or so of playing, I hit a bonus round which paid out $240.00… I have had between $225.00 and $250.00 in this machine now for about 45 minutes.

Will it pay me out again? I don’t know but I have decided that if it goes below $200.00… I’m either switching machines or just cashing out. But either way… So far I’m still playing after three hours (the last hour, I have been playing with house money) using my strategy for winning at slots. In fact, if I were to cash out right now, my point would be well made… I can leave Vegas Towers Casino a winner right now!!!

But as I said earlier… I am a gambling man, so for now it’s back to the “Pure Platinum” machine in hopes that it pays me off. I’ll be back when I either hit my $500.00 goal or when the machine is at $200.00.

OK… after well over an hour, “Pure Platinum” has become cold and tight so I will be cashing out at $200.00 and consider this experiment a success.
